Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using TV Tech Repairs services, including our website, phone services, WhatsApp communications, and on-site repair services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
Service Description
TV Tech Repairs provides on-site television repair services throughout Gauteng, South Africa. Our services include:
- Diagnosis and repair of television hardware and software issues
- Component replacement and board-level repairs
- Power supply unit repairs
- Screen and display repairs
- HDMI port and input/output repairs
- Audio and video troubleshooting
All services are performed at the customer's location within our service area.
Service Process
1. Initial Contact
Customers may contact us via phone, WhatsApp, or email to request service. We require a description of the TV issue and may request photos or videos to assist with diagnosis.
2. Estimate Process
Based on the information provided, we will provide an estimated repair cost. This estimate is preliminary and may change upon physical inspection of the TV.
3. Service Agreement
By agreeing to the estimate and scheduling a service appointment, you enter into a service agreement with TV Tech Repairs.
4. On-Site Service
Our technician will visit your location at the scheduled time to perform the repair service.
Pricing and Payment
Customer Favourite - Our Callout Fee Policy
We believe in transparent pricing. Our callout is free if you decide to proceed with the repair.
A fixed callout fee is only charged if you decline the repair after our technician's visit, or if the TV is deemed unrepairable.
Service Charges
Service charges include:
- Labor costs for diagnosis and repair
- Cost of replacement parts (if required)
- Any applicable taxes
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the repair service. We accept cash, EFT, and mobile payment methods. Payment must be made before the technician leaves your premises.
Estimate Changes
If additional issues are discovered during repair that were not included in the original estimate, we will inform you before proceeding with additional work. You have the right to accept or decline additional charges.
Warranty and Guarantees
36-Month Warranty
We provide a 36-month warranty on all parts and workmanship. This warranty covers:
- Replacement parts installed by our technicians
- Labor performed during the original repair
- Issues directly related to the original repair
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidents
- Issues unrelated to the original repair
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from power surges or electrical issues
- Physical damage to screens or casings
Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period. We will schedule a follow-up visit to assess and resolve the issue at no additional cost if covered under warranty.
Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your TV and the issues you're experiencing
- Ensure the TV is accessible and in a safe working environment
- Be present at the scheduled appointment time or provide appropriate access
- Make payment promptly upon completion of services
- Report any issues with our service within a reasonable timeframe
- Not attempt to repair the TV yourself after our service without consulting us first
Service Limitations
We reserve the right to decline service if:
- The TV is deemed beyond economical repair
- Required parts are no longer available
- The repair cost exceeds the value of a replacement TV
- The TV has been previously repaired by unauthorized technicians
- The working environment is unsafe or unsuitable
- The customer has outstanding unpaid balances from previous services
Cancellation Policy
Customer Cancellations
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment by contacting us at least 2 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made with less than 2 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee.
Our Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to technician availability, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you as soon as possible and work to reschedule at your convenience.
Liability and Disclaimers
Service Limitations
While we strive for excellence in all repairs, we cannot guarantee that all issues will be resolved, especially in cases where:
- The TV has extensive damage or multiple failures
- Parts are no longer manufactured or available
- The TV has reached the end of its useful life
- Previous repairs have compromised the TV's integrity
Data Loss
We are not responsible for any data loss, settings, or personal information stored on smart TVs or connected devices. We recommend backing up any important data before service.
Property Damage
We take precautions to protect your property during service, but we are not liable for any damage to your property, furniture, or belongings that may occur during the repair process, except where such damage is caused by our gross negligence.
Consequential Damages
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from our services, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of data, or business interruption.
Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, service marks, and logos used in connection with our services are the property of TV Tech Repairs or our licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any of our intellectual property without our express written permission.
Communication Channels
By using our services, you agree to communicate with us through the following channels:

- WhatsApp: For service requests and photo/video sharing
- Email: For detailed service requests and documentation

Standard messaging and data rates may apply for communications via mobile channels.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
